Publication ethics

The ethical standards we follow and expect.

Last reviewed: 23 October 2026.

Shodh Sagar® follows widely accepted principles of publication ethics, including the guidance of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and the UGC's rules on academic integrity.

We expect authors to

  • Submit original work, and cite all sources correctly
  • Report data honestly, without fabrication, falsification or selective reporting
  • Include as authors everyone, and only those, who made a real contribution
  • Declare funding and any conflicts of interest
  • Obtain ethics approval and consent for research involving people or animals
  • Not submit the same paper to more than one journal at a time

We do not

  • Sell authorship or add names to papers for payment
  • Write papers or theses to be submitted in someone else's name
  • Fabricate or alter data, results or references
  • Recommend predatory, cloned or delisted journals
  • Promise acceptance in any journal

Our own journals

Our journals use peer review, publish their editorial policies, and handle concerns about published articles (corrections and retractions) following COPE guidance.

Report a concern

If you believe a paper or a practice breaks these standards, email us. We look into every report confidentially.
